“Work from home, if you can” is the current message from the Prime Minister. And, whilst 91 per cent of employees want to remain home based, the role of tech is critical to support increasingly flexible working arrangements, comments Alan Pallett of NTS Communications.
Alan is seeing the rise of a working pattern that he calls “location independent”. This is where technology is supporting all aspects of a business, totally regardless of where teams are based.
He commented: “The current drive to work from home has highlighted the challenges that many businesses have. Their telecomms technology is configured to work in the office. But forward thinking businesses have already taken steps to put in place technology that enables them to deliver great customer service, efficient teamwork and maximum collaboration wherever they are.”
Their ability to deliver essential future-proofing to ambitious businesses has ensured NTS Communications has had a busy year. Alan said: “We’ve helped many customers migrate systems from office to home. We’ve also supported with back office solutions and addressing cloud, network and connectivity issues during the last six months.
“Since March, we’ve seen many companies limping along on survival mode, but with the new enforcements now in place for the foreseeable future, it’s time for organisations to have a clear strategy to ensure that telecommunications helps business performance, not hinders.”
Alan and business partner Steve Ward have been helping enterprising companies for almost a decade at NTS Communications in Telford. The business has steadily grown and now has a team of 14 who help clients to deploy the right telecommunications technology.
